This Week’s Runs

The Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evening runs are part of the FTG, so these runs have an EASY warm up and cooldown, plus we do some fun drills before main part of the session. which is typically 10K.

Runs For Week Beginning 16-September

Saturday

  • 7:30AM and 8:30AM at Coffee Traders Routes and distances vary, 7:30 group loops back to join the 8:30 start group – no one goes alone! Always followed by coffee/breakfast. 7:30 group does 8K and loops back to coffee traders to meet the rest of the group at 8:30.

Sunday

  • 8:30AM from Coffee Traders another long run day, 8 to 18K depending on who shows up and how far you want to go.

Monday Eve (NOTE new time 6:30)

  • 6:30PM FTG  meet at OLD swimming pool and going to Steel bridge to work on strength, will do fartlek session as it was so much fun last week. Cool group go to Steel bridge for 6:45 and warm up by running west to meet the rest of the group. By popular demand this will remain a fartlek session for the foreseeable future. We do fartleks by letting everyone on the run take a turn in the lead, the leader chooses how fast and how far for that segment, then the leader jogs back to regroup (in case anyone chose not to follow as fast as the leader) and then the next leader chooses when to go again (plus how far and how fast). Leader will choose anywhere from 50m up to no more than 1K.

Tuesday Eve:

  • 7:05PM meet at OLD Swimming Pool Car Park for a TRAIL run, up to 10K (but with options to turn back early). Cool group meet 7:15 in Cochrane Ranche (where Saturday market takes place), rest of group will join up there. Note. This is our easiest run of the week, ideal for those starting out provided you meet us at Cochrane Ranche
